How Learn As We Play was founded

Hi my name is Melissa Scott. I am the owner and Director of Learn As We Play child Care Center, LLC. My dream was always to open my own center one day. In 2008, after almost 20 years of working in the child care field I was given the wonderful opportunity to purchase the center I had already been a part of for over 10 years. I have now been in the field for over 30 plus years. I own my own center and still LOVE what I do. The saying "choose a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life" is how I feel everyday. I LOVE what I do and wouldn't change it for anything.

Mission Statement

Learn as we play is here to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment, to foster the needs of young children and their families. In doing so, we support families in their efforts to reach their goals.

Our focus is on the provision of a positive educational experience, and developmental services for the needs and well-being of each child. Through a cooperative partnership between parents and Learn As We Play,

Staff are committed to providing the highest quality care and meeting the needs, as well as protecting the rights of all children and families that we serve.

Our program is designed to support individual interests and developmental goals of infants, toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten children while they develop naturally, at their own pace, in a nurturing environment.

STATEMENT OF GOALS

Learn As We Play expresses its mission in

terms of these broad goals

Provide a stimulating environment, including

hands on learning experiences which promote

each child's social, emotional, physical,

and cognitive development.

Support children's desire to be life-long learners through interest-based curriculum, guided by

the NH Early Learning Guidelines.

Offer the highest quality care with knowledgeable

staff who are trained professionals. Collaborating

with teachers who are committed to the early childhood field, children’s development, and to forming lasting partnerships with families in

order to support our mission and goals.

social, self-help, and educational skills to

move them successfully through their youth.
